The powerful antioxidant is found naturally in fruits and vegetables and commonly produced synthetically in skincare products, such as moisturizers, toners, and, most often, serums.
Ascorbic Acid (AKA L-Ascorbic acid) and is a common type of Vitamin C. It contains large amounts of antioxidants, helps to soothe skin, and fades dark spots. It helps aid in UV protection but becomes unstable when exposed to UV and air.
